The XGRIP 1911c 2pc is a magazine adapter offered by FDI for the 1911 compact. The XGRIP 1911c enhances the versatility, look, and feel of the gun. The XGrip Adapter XG1911C2 works great with the full sized 8 round, ACT-MAG, Mec-Gar or similar 1911 8 round 1911 .45 ACP magazines with the same sized polymer base plate, for use in a 1911 Officer/Compact giving you a finger grip and a capacity increase of 1 or 2 rounds over the stock 1911 Officer magazine. These don't fit the Mec-Gar magazines with the match style base pad or magazines with the welded metal base plate. For the traditional style 7 or 8 round welded metal floorplate 1911 magazines you need to use the one piece XGrip Adapter XG1911C1. This XGrip also works on the older style Mec-Gar 1911 9mm 10 round magazines giving you a 10 round magazine for you 1911 9mm Officer/Compact pistol (does not fit the newer magazines with the match base pad). It doesn't fit the Armscor/ACT-MAG 1911 9mm 10 round magazine without modification of the base pad. This XGrip Adapter doesn't fit the Wilson Combat or Metalform magazines with the polymer base pad. The Metalform magazines polymer base can be trimmed to fit in the XGrip Adapter properly. 
 
These don't fit the Mec-Gar magazines with the match grade polymer base plate.
 
If your pistol has a narrow magwell the XGrip Adapter may not have enough clearance to allow the magazine to be fully inserted.

The patented XGRIP 1911 2 piece adapts the full size Colt .45 acp 1911 8 round magazine with plastic floorplate to function and blend into the frame of the compact 1911 Officer pistol.

Ease of Use, Safety and Compatibility

The 2 piece XGRIP snaps over the 8 round magazine plastic floorplate. No tools are required. Once installed, the XGRIP completely encloses and protects the extended magazine and floorplate. Compatible only with the Act-Mag / NOVAK and Mec-Gar 8 round 1911 .45 ACP brand magazines.

How It Works:
 
1911c 2PC MAG ADAPTER
  1. SLIDE FRONT HALF OF XGRIP OVER FULL SIZE MAGAZINE, WITH FLOORPLATE SEATED AT THE BASE OF THE ADAPTER.
  2. SLIDE BACK CAP OVER REAR OF MAGAZINE, INSERTING TABS SECURELY INTO SLOTS (IN FRONT HALF OF XGRIP) UNTIL TWO PARTS SNAP TOGETHER.
  3. TO DISASSEMBLE: PRESS RELEASE BUTTON ON ONE SIDE, THEN OTHER SIDE.
